

Commandant Marc Tanguay
On April 8, 2013, Marc Tanguay took command of the team at Poste de quartier (PDQ) 10.
Commandant Marc Tanguay has 24 years of experience with the SPVM. His career as a police officer began with patrols, mainly in Pierrefonds, Westmount and St-Henri. He was promoted to supervisor in 2002, and then to advisor with Planification opérationnelle in 2007, coordinator with the Division de la sécurité routière in 2010 and finally manager with the Vigie des pratiques policières in 2011.
During his career, he was often entrusted with the police management of major events such as the Tour de l'île, the Jazz Festival, the Francofolies, the Stanley Cup Final, the Olympic Torch Relay and the U2 concert at Blue Bonnets. He also had the opportunity to work on many projects with community and institutional partners.
Road safety, the public’s sense of security and police-community relations are Commandant Tanguay’s top priorities.
