Redrawing the police map

To increase the operational capacity of the PDQs and enable them to offer services adapted to local needs, the new police map is comprised of 33 service points (33 neighbourhood territories).

Redrawing the police map was necessary to increase the strength and independence of the PDQs. It also provides the opportunity to review methods and integrate a MAP in each PDQ. Finally, it increases the number of officers in the combined PDQs and reduces the management-staff ratio.

The following PDQs are combined:

  • PDQs 6 and 7 (Saint-Laurent) : PDQ 7
  • PDQs 25 and 26 (Côte-des-Neiges) : PDQ 26
  • PDQs 27 and 28 (Ahuntsic) : PDQ 27
  • PDQs 39 and 40 (Montréal-Nord) : PDQ 39
  • PDQs 43 and 44 (Rosemont) : PDQ 44
  • PDQs 47 and 48 (Mercier) : PDQ 48
