Rules on parking in Montréal

Vehicle parking and stopping in Montréal are governed by the Highway Safety Code and municipal by-laws.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal and the Agence de mobilité durable are the two entities which supervise the application of rules on parking in Montréal.

Parking attendants from the Agence de mobilité durable mainly supervise the application of rules on parking 24/7, who issue tickets and, where necessary, have vehicles towed.

To report an offence relating to:

  • reserved spaces for people with disabilities
  • electric vehicles
  • vehicles parked on bike lanes

please contact the Agence de mobilité durable [hyperlien vers le site de l’Agence] on 514 868-3737.
