Montréal, October 30, 2015.- On October 23, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) entrusted the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) with the investigations concerning the allegations involving SQ police officers of MRC de La Vallée-de-l’Or.

Since the transfer of these investigations, the SPVM has communicated with the complainants, with the assistance of community partners in some cases.

A toll-free phone line has also been activated. The SPVM has received calls.

The SPVM invites any person wishing to convey information regarding this case to communicate with the investigators at 1-844-615-3118, in French or in English.

With the support of the Atikamekw and Algonquin police services, the SPVM has produced video clips to address the Aboriginal citizens of this region in their language. These videos remind viewers of the toll-free number, among other information.
