911 Emergency Centre

Mission du 9-1-1

The Ville de Montréal 911 Emergency Centre serves as a portal for all emergency calls made on the island of Montréal, providing service to a population of 1.8 million residents.

Everyone who calls 911 is asked a few questions to help the dispatcher accurately establish the type of emergency and send the right responders to the appropriate location.

The 911 Emergency Centre plays a critical role in the organization of emergency services on the island. Cleary 911 is not an information service. People who need information about a municipal service are invited to dial 311.

911 Mission
