On October 26, an accident between a car and a pedestrian unfortunately occurred in the streets of our neighborhood, thus costing the life of an elderly lady. We offer our sincere condolences to the family. As such, we would like to raise awareness about the importance of crossing at intersections and making sure we are visible. Also, it is important for drivers to respect the limits of speed and signalling.

Several theft in the vehicles have been reported in the neighbourhood, some tips to avoid being targeted by thieves:

  • Park your car where it is permitted.
  • Lock the doors of your car.
  • Never leave valuables in sight, instead store them in the trunk of your car or bring them with you.

PDQ 33 officers work with commitment and professionalism to ensure your safety. We would like to reiterate the importance of contacting 911 for any emergency. You can also come and meet us at the PDQ located at 570Beaumont, open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, 7 days a week.

On October 3rd, we had a get together with PX primary school children. It was a great success. Two police officers with their SPVM cavalry horses were present. We presented cards of collection with the effigy of the different units of the Service as well as caps (kepi) SPVM to the children, thus obtaining smiles of young and old. Several participants took pictures with the police to send them via Facebook to their home countries. It all fits exactly with one of our priorities, which is to make positive contacts with citizens and to be available to answer their questions.

Officers of Neighbourhood Station 33 wish you a happy new year2018 incomplete safety! May it be filled with happiness and health!
