Activités du SPVM

PDQ 42 offers the following main services to the residents of its territory:

• Presentations in schools and daycares: drug dependency, bullying, road safety for Halloween, back to school, Génivélo, Commander's Exam and program operations
• Presentations to organizations such as Réseau d'entraide, Carrefour des femmes, Maison de la famille, Maison des jeunes, etc.
• Presentations to new arrivals: Charter of rights and freedoms, laws, police service, and police organization
• Presentations in seniors' residences on safety for seniors
• Performance of the play Le Prince Serpent (in French or English) in elementary and high schools (prevention of juvenile prostitution)
• Radar, pedestrian, alcohol, and seatbelt operations
• Safety presentations for businesses and companies
• Mediation
• Children's identification booklets (provincial day in October)
• Memoranda of understanding with early childhood centres (CPEs) and the CLSC on clients susceptible to domestic violence and family conflict
• Mediaphone promotion committee for businesses (community relations officers)
• Prevention information booths in malls and with our partners (Maxi, Cora, Caisse populaire, National Bank, Bank of Montréal, Canadian Tire)
• Police news column (authorized officer)
• Geocrime (crime analysis by community relations officers and 5 information officers)
