Commandant Pierre Rousseau
After 28 years of experience at the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal, at my request and to my great pleasure, I was named chief of Poste de quartier 11 in January 2013.
I began my career as a patroller, serving the sectors of LaSalle, Côte-des-Neiges and Notre-Dame-de-Grâce for seven years. Promoted to sergeant in 1994, I dedicated myself once again to the service of the residents of Côte-des-Neiges, LaSalle and the Centre-Sud for another decade.
Named commander in 2005, I was duty manager and then chief of the LaSalle police station for nearly four years.
In 2009, under the auspices of the United Nations, I had the honour to participate in an international mission in Haiti for a year. On my return, I became a commander with the road safety division, as chief of specialized units.
It is the desire to serve on the front line that brings me back to Notre-Dame-de-Grâce today. This is a neighbourhood that enjoys community organizations and committed institutions in the service of the residents, and I look forward to working with all these dedicated people.
I bring experience and passion to my job, and I am fortunate to have, at PDQ 11, a committed team who are devoted to their profession.
