Police are investigating a copper heist that took place earlier this month at a construction site in St. Laurent.
Sometime over the weekend of May 5 to 7, police said, thieves made off with an estimated $10,000 worth of copper. The theft took place at a construction site at the corner of Henri Bourassa Blvd. and Sartelon St.
Montreal police community relations officer Pierre Fauchier at Station 7 in St. Laurent said the suspect(s) cut a lock to an electrical box and turned off the power at the site - likely to avoid getting hurt or of being seen.
