Follow-up of investigations transferred to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM): two new video clips in Inuktitut and in Cree

09 november 2015

On October 23, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) entrusted the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) with the investigations concerning the allegations involving SQ police officers of MRC de La Vallée-de-l’Or.

Since the transfer of these investigations, the SPVM has communicated with the complainants, with the assistance of community partners in some cases.

A toll-free phone line has also been activated. The SPVM has received calls.

The SPVM invites any person wishing to convey information regarding this case to communicate with the investigators at 1-844-615-3118, in French or in English.

With the support of community partners in Montréal, the SPVM has produced two new video clips, in Inuktitut and in Cree, to address the Aboriginal citizens in their language. These videos remind viewers of the toll-free number, among other information.
