SPVM officers put community relations front and centre. That’s why they make certain they are always listening to the public, to make sure they know what the people are concerned about. And because the cultural communities often have their own specific concerns, the Police Service makes an added effort to get closer to these groups, in order to understand and serve them better.

Through all this, the SPVM theme weeks help raise public awareness of specific social concerns and strengthen ties between the police and the public.
