Speeding

SpeedingIn road safety, the results are calculated by lives saved, reduced amount of accidents and injuries avoided.

The SPVM sets up various measures to protect the users of Montréal's highway network because the results are obtained primarily by the modification of their behaviour.

The officers place particular attention on speeding through school zones, parks and other places considered to be problematic.

Every May the SPVM takes part in the Canada Road Safety Week, and in October with Operation Impact, they focus on the application of the law and risky behaviours like ignoring posted speed limits.

Here are the sanctions a driver will face when caught exceeding posted speed limits.
