Police cadets work day and evening, weekdays and weekends. They may, however, be asked to work a different schedule, depending on agreements to be negotiated in 2009.
Depending on the unit they are working in and related events, police cadets work between 8 and 13 weeks during the summer, from June 1 to August 25. Every cadet works about 400 hours.
The workday cannot exceed 12 hours.
The workweek is a maximum of 40 hours long.
Police cadets who work at least four hours in a day are given a one-hour meal break, half an hour of which is paid.
